Purpose of the Role

To help expand clientele. Will be the front runner of the company for business growth and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy and handling of team. This position includes Business development in the field of Food and water testing, serving the customers and developing new business prospects. Design branding, segmentation and positioning and pricing strategies.

Goal

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients and Management.

Primary Responsibilities

Operational

Identify, build, develop and grow new business streams/ clients/ opportunities in Indian and International markets Define Project Scope, Goals and Deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Senior Management and Stakeholders. Develop full-scale Business Management Plans, Study Specific plans (Risk Management Plan; Monitoring Manual), Business Budget tracker and associated communication documents from kick-off to sign-off. Develop weekly, bi-weekly revenue updates and align with topline and bottom-line budgeted numbers. Participate in Kick off meetings, internal review meetings and Project timeline meetings for tracking of deliverables. Schedule, Coordinating arrangements, Presentations & Conduct of meetings Activities related to external vendor's identification / Qualification requirements / Agreement Qualification for business Development Deep understanding of Food testing industry and the testing requirements of Method Development Responsible for generating leads Region wise/ country wise for all Food and Water analytical testing Responsible for end-to-end Sales cycle. Generate New business from existing clients and add new clients every month. Understand and promptly resolve the client queries with the help of technical/ quality team Understanding the customer requirement & business objective to solidify a strong customer relationship. Account penetration, develop & maintain new business within existing and new clients. Perform cost analysis to evaluate account growth opportunities Negotiate and maintain cost effective contract pricing structures with customers to ensure a positive return & business growth in future. Conduct competitive research to identify our strengths and weaknesses. Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings Reviewing sales performance To understand and manage the technical requirements from customers over phone as well as mails To understand and manage the customer data-base across the country To give support whenever needed for all external sales team for following up on quotes as well as other process related requirements To support the commercial team on outstanding payments

Essential Qualification

Essential Experience: Any graduate preferably with
MBA Marketing with 15+ Years work experience or
M Sc-Food Science. M.Sc-Food Technology, B.Tech-Food Technology, Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry. 15+ years in the Analytical Services industry

Requirements and skill set:

Work experience as BD Head or Sr Manager, preferably within Food CRO industry Experience running successful Business Development Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals Analytical mind Communication and writing skills. Data driven thinking Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Knowledge on regulatory/ certification body requirements
