Nomura Services India, (Powai) supports Nomura's businesses around the world. Powai' s world class capabilities in trading support, research, information technology, financial control, operations, risk management and legal support have played a key role in facilitating Nomura's global operations and are an integral part of Nomura's global expansion plans. The Powai operation is a critical part of the platform to support the growth of Nomura's global business.

Division Overview:

Nomura Global Markets division, based in Mumbai, the front-office team delivers pricing, modelling and risk management expertise to the Global Markets business. Founded as a centre of excellence, the group leads the way in price discovery and portfolio optimization techniques and is integral to the business' aggressive revenue targets. The team is playing an integral role in structuring, pricing, risk management and new idea generation.

Business Unit Overview:

The Fixed Income Electronic Trading Sales support team is responsible for managing Nomura's Rates and Credit Electronic trading offering for low touch clients. This primarily means overseeing client distribution, supporting configurations on electronic trading platforms and supporting electronic trading activity. The team supports businesses globally and there is heavy interaction with sales, trading, technology, and external clients/vendors.

By developing strong relationships with our client base through consistent interaction, independent advice and pre-eminent access to Asia, we have built a powerful global franchise.

Position Specifications:

Corporate Title: Analyst

Experience: 2-3 years

Qualification: Graduate B.Com/ B.Sc/ IT, or post-graduate MBA/MCA

Role & Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with regional E-Sales team for performing analysis around trading patterns and client trading behaviour.

Generate Monthly reporting to management.

Providing macroeconomic and business commentary to senior management.

Liaising with risk management and MO/BO teams regarding trading limit breaches, for post trade support and resolving client queries.

Partnering with local and regional management to develop and efficient and scalable service model.

Management of relationships with external and internal stakeholders to maintain an optimal operating model.

Lead initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and creating efficiencies within the function.

Mind Set:

  • Minimum 2/3 years of experience working within markets.
  • Knowledge of OTC and Cash Fixed Income products and markets is desirable – as is exposure to electronic trading.
  • Ability to multi task and work in a high pressure and dynamic environment is critical.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are critical.
  • Excellent team work and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and interact with all levels of individuals in the business.
  • Hands-on on Tableau.
  • Hands-on on Python.
