Pricing Analyst (Diamond Industry)

Location: Bandra (bkc)

Candidates from Diamond Industry only are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of diamond market trends, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing fluctuations, and competitor pricing strategies.
  • Monitor global economic indicators, geopolitical events, and industry developments that may impact diamond pricing.
  • Utilize market research reports, industry publications, and data analytics tools to gather insights and inform pricing decisions.
  • Pricing Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and finance to develop and refine pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate pricing models and recommend adjustments based on market conditions, cost structures, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify pricing opportunities and areas for improvement to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Pricing Structure Implementation:
  • Implement pricing structures and policies within internal systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with IT and operations teams to integrate pricing changes and updates into pricing management systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain data integrity and resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Price Optimization:
  • Analyze pricing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for price optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop pricing models and simulations to forecast the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability.
  • Monitor pricing elasticity and customer segmentation to tailor pricing strategies to different market segments and customer profiles.
  • Reporting and Insights:
  • Generate comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate pricing insights, trends, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support to assist in strategic pricing decisions and negotiations.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate pricing strategies' effectiveness and propose adjustments as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or strategy consulting, preferably in the diamond industry or luxury goods sector.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of diamond industry dynamics, including diamond grading, sourcing, and distribution, is a plus.
