Key Responsibilities:

The person in this position will mainly support and maintain the Enterprise Scheduling Platform (UC). They will collaborate with different application support and development teams to meet their batch scheduling needs. The role involves working during UK or India business hours, with occasional support required outside these hours, including weekends.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support and maintain Enterprise Scheduling environments.
  • Monitor Scheduling platforms like Active Batch, Servers and Remote Agents, iXp, etc.
  • Administer access and security management of all Scheduling Infrastructure components.
  • Implement patches/updates to Scheduling Infrastructure Components (Active Batch, iXp).
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and automate existing processes.
  • Proactively monitor daily production batch and file transmissions for potential issues.
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis for problem-solving.
  • Follow Change Management processes for implementing various changes.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of IT industry experience.
  • 6 to 7 years of progressive Enterprise Scheduling experience with tools like Active Batch.
  • Architectural knowledge of ASG-Active Batch Scheduling Tool.
  • Support experience in multi-instance and High Availability architecture.
  • Troubleshooting skills for job failures, hung jobs, remote agent issues, etc.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in Jobs Monitoring, Scheduling, troubleshooting, administration, and maintenance in a business-critical scheduling environment.
  • Installation and maintenance experience with Active Batch and remote agents on UNIX and Windows.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UNIX shell and PERL scripting.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Windows Batch scripting.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Standards.
  • Basic knowledge of PL/SQL (Oracle/Sybase/SQL server).
  • Basic Unix/Windows Administration.
  • Ability to work in a team.
