As a Lead SQL Developer, you will be in charge of intricate SQL development, optimizing performance, resolving issues, and mentoring junior developers.


Responsibilities :

  • Take the lead in developing and executing high-performance SQL queries for various data tasks.
  • Evaluate existing SQL queries and database components to enhance performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complicated database problems associated with SQL queries and procedures.
  • Create effective and scalable database solutions to match changing business requirements.
  • Guide and support junior developers in SQL development and performance enhancement.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in SQL technologies and database systems.
  • Collaborate efficiently with business analysts and stakeholders to grasp data needs.
  • Clearly document SQL code and database elements.
  • Establish and uphold database testing strategies for data integrity and application functionality.
  • Engage in code reviews and offer constructive input for enhancing code quality.
  • Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks proactively.
  • Oversee support procedures related to database problems for timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
  • Keep track of database metrics to ensure database health and performance.

Technical Skills :

  • Proficient in SQL, including writing and optimizing queries.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL performance tuning techniques.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting database issues.
  • Familiarity with database administration tasks such as user management and backup/recovery is a plus.

Additional Skills :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of database support processes, metrics, and SLAs.
  • Ability to mentor and guide less experienced developers.
