As a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering, you will lead our platform team, overseeing infrastructure, DevOps, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our platform.


ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management:


Lead and manage the platform engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the growth and development of team members.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.

Infrastructure Management and Automation:
Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (preferably Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for scalability, reliability, and automation.
Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.
Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to enhance application scalability and maintainability.

Platform Development:


Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and the integration of robust monitoring and logging solutions to maintain the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure and applications.

Collaborate with security teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

System Design and Architecture:
Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
Ensure the implementation of microservices architecture and other modern design principles to enhance system scalability and reliability.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Oversee the troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of code to ensure the performance and security of applications.
Utilize logs and metrics to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
Skills RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

At least 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, building infrastructure with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot.

Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and system design principles.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
Understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments, with experience implementing security controls and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred QualificationsExperience in SaaS, Fintech, or Financial Services industries.
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments.
Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
