Job Summary

We are searching for a highly competent and seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) 2 to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in both automated and manual testing, with expertise in constructing automated test frameworks and tools. You will play an essential role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend product requirements and devise comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute automated and manual tests to guarantee software product quality.
  • Identify, document, and monitor software defects, collaborating with development teams to address issues.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer feedback to ensure code quality and testability.
  • Create and uphold CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development process.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system dependability and scalability.
  • Guide junior SDETs and provide technical counsel on test automation best practices and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development and/or test automation.
  • Proficiency in Java programming languages. Familiarity with Python is a bonus.
  • Thorough understanding of mobile application testing.
  • Extensive experience with mobile test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Hands-on familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Battery historian, profiler, etc).
  • Familiarity with security testing practices and tools.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
