ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

BA Job Summary

You will be part of Enterprise Data & Analytics team responsible for identifying analytical needs, exploring new technologies, and applying data sciences/machine learning concepts to maximize value from data assets.

BA will work closely with key stakeholders both IT and Business to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.

The individual must have an in-depth understanding of the business environment, an interest in going beyond the obvious, aptitude for new tools/technologies, and obsession for customer success
Job Requirements

Must possess strong subject matter expertise in at least two domains of Sales, Marketing, Install Base, Finance, and Customer Support areas.

Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects

Data modeling experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse and DataMart

Knowledge of ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, and physical data models

Hands-on experience in SQL, Python, NoSQL, JSON, XML, SSL, RESTful APIs, and other related standards

Hands-on emphasis with a proven track record of building and evaluating data pipes, and delivering systems for final production

Must have strong data orientation and keen aptitude to explore innovative ways to analyze data

Experirnce with Data visualizations tools such as Tableau or Power BI (preferred)

Experience with various data systems like Oracle Data Warehouse, Snowflake, HVR, Informatica IICS, SAP HANA, Hadoop/Hive, Vertica, Redshift, Presto, Mangodb

Experience in all phases of a Software Development Life Cycle. Well versed in different project life cycle management methodologies – Waterfall and Agile.

Strong understanding devops, on-premise, and cloud deployments - AWS, Google, Azure

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Essential Functions

Collaborate with business, solution/enterprise architects to translate business requirements into scalable solution options and provide input to Business Analytics and Master Data roadmap/strategy

Ensures the successful implementation and day-to-day operation of database systems supporting critical Agency systems.

Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications.

Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications.

May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.

Communicates with technical, applications, and operational staff, in order to design an optimal database architecture (performance, accessibility, backup, and recovery plan).

Analyzes and makes recommendations for improvements to existing software regarding database performance, stability, usability and scalability.

Performs logical and physical data modeling, designs relational database models and creates physical data models from logical data models.

Partner with business in data analysis (small and big) and demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as proactively identifying and resolving data issues

Analyze data with new perspectives and creative approaches to less defined issues involving unstructured and ambiguous data

Explores enterprise data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends to generate actionable insights
