Application Security Program Leadership:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive application security program in line with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Defining and enforcing application security policies, procedures, and standards throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Leading the selection and deployment of DAST and SAST tools to detect and address security vulnerabilities in applications.
  • Overseeing the handling of application security vulnerabilities, prioritizing risks and ensuring timely remediation efforts.
  • Conducting regular assessments and penetration testing on applications to proactively identify vulnerabilities.

Security Awareness & Training:

  • Developing and delivering security awareness training programs for developers and other stakeholders to educate them on secure coding practices and application security threats.
  • Promoting a culture of security ownership within development teams, encouraging collaboration and communication on security matters.

Security Integration & Automation:

  • Integrating application security testing tools into the CI/CD pipeline to automate security checks across the development process.
  • Implementing DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.

Metrics & Reporting:

  • Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the effectiveness of the application security program.
  • Providing regular reports on application security metrics to management, highlighting achievements and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in application security with a strong track record of achievements.
  • In-depth knowledge of DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), SAST (Static Application Security Testing), and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Solid grasp of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and secure software development methodologies (e.g., OWASP SAMM).
  • Hands-on experience with application security testing tools and penetration testing methods.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and handle multiple priorities concurrently.
  • History of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams (development, security, operations).
