We are currently hiring an experienced Android Open Source Project Engineer (AOSP Engineer) to join our team in Pune. As an Android Software Engineer, you will be tasked with enhancing our Android-based products. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in Android application development, Android OS Board Support Package (BSP), Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), Linux-based OS, and expertise in C/C and/or Java programming. Your skills will be vital in creating innovative solutions to meet our customers' needs.
At L4B Software you will:
  • Collaborate with teams to implement new features and enhancements for Android applications.
  • Develop Android-based products using the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) framework and Board Support Package (BSP).
  • Optimize the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) to ensure hardware components integrate seamlessly with Android OS.
  • Write C/C and/or Java code for system-level functionality and performance improvements.
  • Conduct code reviews, offer feedback, and maintain code quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot Android applications, BSP, HAL, and AOSP/Linux components.
  • Research new technologies to enhance Android application performance.
  • Optimize software for various Android devices.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure software quality through testing.
  • Document technical designs and implementation details for reference.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in Android app development.
  • Proficiency in C/C and/or Java development.
  • In-depth knowledge of AOSP, Android OS, and the Android ecosystem.
  • Experience in BSP development and hardware-software integration.
  • Expertise in HAL and Android system architecture.
  • Understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
