This position reports into Manager, Research & Development and is based at Greater Mumbai.

What You Will Do


The position is responsible for innovation and new product development in foods, nutraceuticals, and drug products on well-known HCP endorsed brands such as ORSL and Benadryl.

The Scientist will primarily be responsible for support to concept and pipeline development, early scientific research, technology development, and product development (e.g., bench top formulation) within various Self-Care priority Need States.


  • Key Responsibilities
***- Support to R&D technical lead to help ideate, develop, and deliver novel innovation for the Self-Care Franchise

  • Work closely with crossfunctional R&D partners such as Analytical, Packaging, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, and Stability to manage/comanage entire projects end to end
  • Closely collaborate with other R&D functions such as Regulatory and Clinical to guide and develop innovation strategies, development plans, and claims and gotomarket approaches
  • Develop collaborative partnership with business partners (Marketing teams) to understand key consumer insights and unmet needs that serve as the primary goal upon which to develop and deliver on consumer health improving innovation
  • Support evaluations of external technologies for potential opportunities and applicability to the portfolio and support the technical relationships with the selected partners
  • Serve as R&D support for core project teams and provide technical mentorship to interns.
  • Lead handson formulation work using labscale equipment as needed based on project
  • May have oversight and run the work of interns.

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 35 years or master's degree with 02 years of industry and/or relevant work experience in fields related to innovation/product development.
  • This position may require up to 20% domestic and/or international travel.
  • Background in OTC/Regulated Foods formulation and process development preferred (e.g, solid, liquid, semisolid).
  • Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with high ethical/quality standards and all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with regulated products and associated requirements including ICH, Local Health Authority (e.g., FSSAI), compendia (e.g., USP, JP, EP, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, SOPs latest regulatory trends and global regulations as appropriate, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical strategies for both regulatory approval and/or claim substantiation including coordination of clinical supplies is preferred.
  • Experience in developing E2E new product development technical project plans is preferred.
  • Experience with building and delivering presentations to leadership to both inform and influence decisionmaking is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and/or approving applicable research documents for regulatory filings (e.g., IND, NDA) or product launches is preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments and divisions within and outside Kenvue to achieve desired outcomes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IP strategy is preferred.
