What you'll be doing

Device Enrollment: You'll onboard new Mac and iOS devices into the organization's management system (such as JAMF Pro) or Microsoft Intune. Profile Management: You'll create and manage configuration profiles for devices. These profiles define settings related to Wi-Fi, VPN, security policies, and more. Software Deployment: Installing, updating, and managing software applications across devices. You'll handle both standard software and custom applications. Security Policies: Implementing security policies to protect devices and data. This includes enforcing encryption, setting password policies, and managing access controls. User Support: Assisting end-users with device-related issues. This could involve troubleshooting software problems, connectivity issues, or providing guidance on using specific applications. Project Participation: Contributing to IT projects related to device upgrades, migrations, or system enhancements. Issue Diagnosis: Investigating and resolving device-related issues. This could range from application crashes to connectivity problems. Incident Response: Handling security incidents (e.g., malware detection, data breaches) promptly and following established protocols.

Skills Required

JAMF Administration: Proficiency in JAMF Pro is essential. You should be able to manage macOS and iOS devices efficiently using JAMF's tools and features. macOS and iOS Knowledge: A deep understanding of macOS and iOS operating systems is crucial. You'll need to troubleshoot issues, configure settings, and optimize performance for these platforms. Understanding of BYOD Concepts: As an iOS BYOD Administrator, you'll need a solid understanding of BYOD policies and practices including enrollment and protecting both business and personal data. Mobile Device Management (MDM): Familiarity with MDM concepts and practices is necessary. You'll be responsible for deploying, securing, and managing devices across the organization. Security Best Practices: Implement security policies for BYOD devices. This includes enforcing encryption, setting passcode. Problem-Solving: Administrators encounter various technical challenges. Being a good problem solver is essential for diagnosing issues and finding effective solutions. Communication Skills: You'll collaborate with other IT teams, end-users, and management. Clear communication ensures smooth device management and user support. Documentation and Communication: Maintain clear documentation on BYOD policies, procedures, and configurations Adaptability: Technology evolves rapidly. Stay updated with the latest macOS, iOS and mobile trends, and be adaptable to changes.

Mandatory

Hands-on Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience in macOS, iOS and Mobile Device Management (MDM) is essential. This experience should involve managing extensive fleets of Mac, iOS and BYOD devices in large-scale enterprise environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JAMF / Intune administration is crucial. You should be comfortable working with Apple Platforms with experience with Intune (Microsoft's MDM solution) Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with Python and Shell scripting is valuable. Being able to automate tasks and create custom solutions using these languages is a plus.
