Senior Product Owner, Financial Institutions Monitoring GSC

Our Financial Institutions Sub-Value Stream, a key part of the Financial Crime Detection Value Stream, oversees the development, implementation, and upkeep of Transaction Monitoring controls related to activities involving our Financial Institutions clients at HSBC. This includes Correspondent Banking for Third Party Banks and HSBC Affiliates, Money Services Business, and Third Party Payment Providers.
You will play a crucial role in sharing global best practices, offering valuable guidance to stakeholder teams, assessing control performance, and escalating risks when necessary.
HSBC actively manages financial crime risks tied to its Financial Institutions business, which encompasses Correspondent Banking (CB), Money Services Business (MSB), Third Party Payment Processors (TPPP), and Affiliates. By employing cutting-edge technology like Social Network Analytics (GSNA) and Financial Institution Transaction Monitoring (FITM), we broaden our compliance risk coverage, identify customers more effectively, and leverage enhanced solutions like the Entity Resolution tool and external data.
As the Senior Product Owner (SPO) in the Financial Institutions Monitoring team under the Financial Crime Detection and Investigation Value Stream, you will operate in an agile setting, defining Epics and Stories, and prioritizing the team backlog to streamline program execution while upholding the conceptual and technical integrity of features.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the development and deployment of technical product capabilities and streamline product functionality.
- Foster effective stakeholder engagement and user interaction at all levels to make well-founded decisions that maximize business benefits.
- Understand customer needs, advocate for their preferences, and keep the product vision updated with the latest technology to ensure commercial viability.
- Promote and communicate the product internally.
