Job Description

Ethical Trade Executive – Monitoring (India and Sri Lanka)
Reports to: Ethical Trade Manager
Location: India – Tiruppur / Coimbatore

In this position, you will play a key role in evaluating our Supply Chain by conducting Ethical Trade audits and finding ways to enhance Primark's supply chain performance and relationships in India & Sri Lanka in accordance with the Primark Code of Conduct for suppliers.

What You'll Do:

  • Contributes to implementing Primark's Ethical Strategy for its suppliers and factories in India & Sri Lanka
  • Carries out ET audits at existing and new factories in India & Sri Lanka as needed
  • Ensures clear communication of the company's ethical trading requirements (ET Audit) to the supply base through audits, trainings, and other appropriate engagements
  • Raises awareness about the significance of ethical trading practices and methodologies
  • Aids in the ongoing enhancement of the company's Ethical Trading Strategy by providing feedback, guidance, and resolutions directly from the supply base
  • Assists in the approval process for new factories in India and Sri Lanka as mandated by the ETM, including handling initial communications with factories and suppliers, supporting ETM in audit scheduling, processing documentation, and ensuring timely completion of factory audits
  • Rectifies Code non-compliances with factories and suppliers. Recommends re-audit suitability and next steps to ETM

  • Knowledge of factory audit and remediation processes (e.g., SMETA, SA0 advanced)
  • Experience in CR and ET within the factory setting
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

  • Capability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and throughout the organization
  • Proficiency in IT (databases, spreadsheets)
