We are seeking a skilled and experienced GST (Goods and Services Tax) and Direct Tax Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance, filing, and advisory services, as well as a strong understanding of Direct Tax laws and regulations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to stay updated with evolving tax laws.

Responsibilities:

1. GST Compliance:

 Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time.

 Review GST data for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

 Handle GST reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

 Assist in GST audits and investigations, if required.

2. Direct Taxation:

 Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals and businesses.

 Ensure compliance with Direct Tax laws, including TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) provisions.

 Assist in tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

3. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

 Maintain accurate records of GST transactions, filings, and correspondence.

 Organize and manage documentation related to Direct Taxation.

 Ensure all tax-related documents are up to date and readily accessible.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

 Stay updated with changes in GST and Direct Tax laws and regulations.

 Interpret and implement tax laws effectively within the organization.

 Monitor compliance with tax deadlines and requirements.

5. Client Communication:

 Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax matters.

 Address client queries and provide timely responses.

 Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor & degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

 Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in GST and Direct Taxation.

 In-depth knowledge of GST laws, rules, and compliance requirements.

 Strong understanding of Direct Tax laws, including income tax and TDS.

 Proficient in using tax software and MS Office applications.

 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Attention to detail and accuracy in tax calculations and filings.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

 Professional certification such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent is preferred.

 Experience in handling GST audits and assessments is a plus.

 Familiarity with ERP systems for tax reporting and analysis is beneficial.

 Up-to-date knowledge of tax reforms and industry trends.
