Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 3D printable models based on client requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in 3D printing technology.
  • Optimize designs for 3D printing, considering factors such as material selection, structural integrity, and production efficiency.
  • Conduct quality control checks on printed prototypes to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on 3D printing processes and best practices.
  • Continuously improve and innovate our design processes and workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a 3D Designer, preferably in the field of 3D printing.
  • Proficient in using CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360) for 3D modeling and design.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D printing technologies, materials, and processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with designing for specific 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 3D scanning and reverse engineering techniques.
  • Knowledge of parametric modeling and generative design tools.
  • Experience with postprocessing and finishing techniques for 3D printed parts.
