Job purpose
The Agile Coach guides the adoption of agile principles and methodologies within organizations, teams, and individuals. Agile Coaches serve the primary goal of fostering a culture of agility and continuous improvement. By working closely with teams and stakeholders, the Agile Coach will enhance collaboration, efficiency, and overall performance. Agile Coaches play a crucial role in promoting a growth mindset and learning culture. The Agile coach will empower team members to take ownership of their work, make informed decisions through data driven approaches, and continuously refine their processes.
Key Responsibilities - what you'll do
• Participate actively within the Comcast Agile Community– collaborating with other Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and department leads across the business to establish networks and best practice.
• Work with our Scrum Teams on analysing current systems and processes, driving strategies to standardise and optimise them.
• Coach teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed and align to the agreements that the team have set.
• Take accountability for the continuous improvement culture in the team, setting goals and milestones.
• Facilitate learning and development among Agile Practitioners, delivering training on Agile practices as required.
• Coach stakeholders to ensure sponsorship and alignment on culture & practices.
• Communicate agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model across the teams.
• Coach and support cross team collaboration, ensuring teams are working towards the same goal and facilitate the removal of impediments and the identification of cross team dependencies.
• Champion the use of standard metrics and other objective measures by engineering teams.
Skills & Experience
what you'll have We need an individual who is inspiring, culturally aware, and highly collaborative. We value people with diverse and rich backgrounds, the right person can understand complexity, simplify storytelling, and create frameworks that help to guide decisions and make progress.
Must-have:
Five or more years of experience in an Agile practitioner role (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Manager etc).
• Experience in practising a variety of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, LeSS, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Track record of implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environments.
Experience in running agile projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong skills for leading, educating, and coaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong facilitation skills.
Ideal:
• Certification as Agile Coach or Advanced Scrum Master.
• Certified Scaled Agile Trainer – (able to deliver certification classes for all roles in SAFe).
• Experience in coaching at large organizations.

Bachelor's Degree
