Role Description:

The Leading Engineer SQA plays a vital role in Carrier's Digital Technology team. This position mainly involves both manual and automated testing through the creation of various test scripts.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement programs and automated scripts for testing purposes
  • Create automation scripts to align with acceptance criteria
  • Conduct functional testing on new products and regression testing on existing products in each QA release cycle
  • Support testing, documentation, defect tracking, and information flow during each QA cycle
  • Aid in the development of new automation tools and the upkeep of existing ones
  • Attain in-depth knowledge of system functionality
  • Actively contribute to continuous process enhancement to streamline the development life cycle
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and discuss defects in detail with the development team

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional QA experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in creating and maintaining test tools
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in QA or performance engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience testing cloud-native software
  • B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/IT or a related field
