Job Summary:

The Purchasing Coordinator-2 has a vital role in global procurement operations related to hardware, software, professional services, facilities, marketing, and technology support. You will collaborate with internal partners, finance teams, and vendors to address current business challenges, identify potential projects, and effectively manage the purchasing process for both existing and new commodities.

Main Duties:

  • Adhere to company policies and purchasing procedures while collaborating closely with internal partners and Accounts Payable. This includes managing basic procurement requests, handling contract administration, placing purchase orders, and maintaining systems/documentation.
  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with the supply base and internal clients.
  • Identify vendors that are no longer competitive or meeting service level requirements.
  • Utilize logic and reasoning to analyze data and make well-founded decisions/recommendations. Focus on specific metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for more effective procurement processes.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly report any violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties at a similar level and diplomatically resolve issues.
  • Proactively enhance procurement strategies and align them with broader business strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Moderate MS Suite skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Confident, discreet, and professional.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Perform duties in a standard office setting while seated at a desk or computer table. Utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed materials.
  • Periodically be on call and work outside regular hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Occasional travel by automobile or airplane, around 5% or less of time spent traveling.
