Role Summary
The Workday team is seeking a security specialist to help maintain and troubleshoot the security configuration. The specialist will play a vital role in enhancing the security model, aligning it with the business's core values of Simplify, Strengthen, and Scale.
EQ utilizes a wide range of SKUs, including Prism, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and Slides. The team has an ambitious roadmap for further development across HCM, FIN, and Reporting SKUs, where secure configuration is paramount.
Role Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and collaborate with SMEs/Team Members to propose suitable solutions.
- Troubleshoot user security issues and suggest solutions in coordination with team members.
- Establish new security groups and refine existing ones based on the 'simplify and strengthen' strategy.
- Identify and manage redundant security groups without disrupting end users.
- Collaborate with the Workday Reporting team to implement necessary security changes for user group access.
- Ensure alignment of security changes with other development initiatives.
- Clearly communicate security setups to users with varying technical expertise levels.
- Review system upgrades and assess their impact on security, conducting testing and communication with stakeholders.
- Support security-related testing post changes to policies as part of projects and improvement efforts.
- Review and approve Workday/HR application security requests and document internal security controls.
- Coordinate with Global Process Owners for Quarterly Security Review.
- Create and maintain clear security documentation to facilitate correct usage of security groups/roles.
- Identify potential risks in changes/proposals and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in the Workday Security model, including comprehensive understanding and effective communication of security aspects.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to articulate complex security setups, gather nuanced requirements, and discuss various options.
- Preferred Skills
- Expertise in Workday reporting capabilities, including Drive.
- Experience in Finance and HCM modules and associated processes.
- Understanding of the Prism security model and Workday integrations.
- Familiarity with researching and testing new features in bi-annual Releases.
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on documentation and presentation.
- Customer-centric approach with a keen eye for detail and responsiveness.

- Shift work based on UK office hours (afternoon/evening in India).
