We are currently on the lookout for an Associate Chief Engineer - Process & Technology, who will report directly to the Department Head and join our team based in Gurgaon / Noida.
Job Purpose
The role of Process Engineer entails the creation of process-related documentation, supporting proposals, and collaborating with project teams dedicated to refinery projects.
About the Job
- Working on Basic, FEED or detailed engineering design aligned with project specifications
- Defining specific duties and responsibilities
- Developing a wide range of professional process engineering skills to enhance the future engineering capabilities within the process group
- Taking responsibility for the successful completion of designated engineering tasks and the preparation of process engineering documents
- Engaging in design tasks as assigned by the Process Lead Engineer
- Compiling process equipment and instrument-related documents within set timelines
- Ensuring accuracy of information and document verification
- Consulting technical manuals and creating process deliverables
- Comprehending the expected outcomes of specific procedures
- Providing design inputs for drafting purposes
- Reviewing design documents and drawings produced by the design team
- Staying updated on new standards, process software, procedures, and integrating them into daily activities
- Collaborating with the process team to develop sizing calculations for various Process equipment (e.g., Pumps, Heat Exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors, etc.) and presenting information in the form of equipment data sheets
- Conducting line size calculations, hydraulic calculations, and pump NPSH calculations as necessary
- Operating in compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
- Preparing process specifications, drawings (PFD, P&ID's, etc.), and other process deliverables, primarily including:
- Process Design basis
- Process flow diagrams
- Heat and mass balance sheets
- P&I diagrams
- Material selection diagrams
- Line list
- Equipment list
- Process equipment data sheets
- Instrument data sheets
- Control philosophy details
- Cause & effect sheets

About You
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical engineering from a reputable university and a minimum of 8 years' experience in Process Design and Engineering
- Proficiency in Process software such as ASPEN HYSYS and / or PRO II, HTRI, PIPENET, or FLARENET
