Job Title: IBMi Software Engineer at Polaris

Job Description:
  • The IBMi Software Engineer will participate in projects related to ERP and MES Applications development and support at Polaris, utilizing Infor-XA/MAPICS and IBMi customization technologies.
  • Develop high-quality software solutions, conduct testing phases, and assist in system design, development, validation, and implementation.
  • Provide essential support for Product Lifecycle Management functionalities in Infor XA and other custom applications.
  • Collaborate with the team in testing activities, offer guidance on configuration and coding, and contribute to the creation of test scenarios.
  • Engage with fellow software engineers and product owners to review designs and define acceptance criteria.
  • Manage Polaris' code management system, execute implementation tasks, and ensure successful project go-live.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX guidelines and facilitate the development of knowledge management artifacts.
  • Deliver system and user support, troubleshooting production issues, documenting system processes, and conducting user training.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability towards task completion.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Design, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing solutions for IBMi platform and Infor XA/MAPICS ERP systems.
  • Expertise in RPGLE Language with Free syntax and embedded SQL.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving Infor-XA customization issues, DB2 SQL, XML, JSON, and change management tools.
  • Hands-on experience in tools like Powerlink and system link with a strong technical understanding and innovation capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks efficiently, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and customer service orientation.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Infor XA products like ION, Supply Chain Management, Azure PUB/SUB interface, and engineering principles.
