The Boeing Company, Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team is currently looking for Lead Systems Engineer - Human Factors position in Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team and based out of Bangalore location. This position reports directly to the SEIT Senior Manager.

As a Lead HF Engineer, you will work with new product development, various commercial airplane programs, other core engineering functions and the Boeing enterprise to develop, support and implement human factors engineering excellence in BCA. The position offers the opportunity to influence the implementation of HF in BCA and to support the development of HF requirements, design practices, airplane design, HF training materials and HF processes and tools.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the development of HF requirements, design practices, airplane design, HF training materials and HF processes and tools. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Lead the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Establishing design requirements for changes and enhancements to the flight crew interface on existing or new commercial airplane models, and testing and implementing those enhancements. Proposing product development efforts to identify technologies to increase aviation safety and add value to our products or services. Participating or leading design teams, as well as collaborating with avionics, other engineering groups, customer airline personnel, industry, regulators, and suppliers. Working closely with a wide variety of pilots disciplines including flight test, technical and procedural, training, customer airline, and regulator pilots. Participate in cross-functional reviews to understand airplane-level impacts of system failures and the associated flight deck effects and pilot actions. Performs System analyses activities for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, regulatory and certification. Support Aircraft and System Safety Analysis (ASA, SSA), Fault Hazard Assessment, & Design Assurance analysis of avionics and airplane systems. Leads Planning, defining, and verifying System Safety requirements to ensure design integrity and safety for certification of aircraft systems/subsystems for full lifecycle. Teach/mentor Systems team members about Boeing Systems processes and how to use Systems tools.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor's Engineering degree or higher is required. Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, electronics, aerospace, with 17 or more years' experience, master's with 15 or more years' experience 15+ years of experience in aerospace/flight operations/ Human Factors This position requires 17 to 20 years related engineering work experience. Aircraft certification experience (airworthiness requirements, ARP 4754 processes etc) or any equivalent Some travel may be required, either domestic or international. Excellent people skills, very strong verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and creative.

Preferred Qualifications:

17+ years of aerospace industry experience focused on system engineering activities. Engineering degree in Aerospace or Engineering with experience in these fields Aviation or Flight Operations Experience Human factors experience (manufacturing, development, or research environment)

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, electronics, aerospace, with 17 or more years' experience, master's with 15 or more years' experience
