Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Leader to manage end-to-end payroll operations for our India and Middle East regions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in end-to-end payroll management, compliance, and process improvement, with a proven record of accomplishment of leading payroll teams.

This role will be based out of Chennai.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee and manage the entire payroll process for India and Middle East regions, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Handle monthly payroll reconciliation and reporting.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll in India and the Middle East.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes impacting payroll and ensure the company's payroll practices are compliant.
  • Prepare and file required statutory reports and ensure timely remittance of statutory payments.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance on payroll policies and procedures to team members.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in payroll operations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to enhance payroll systems and processes.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with payroll service providers and other external vendors.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and address any service issues.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights and support decisionmaking.
  • Prepare payrollrelated financial reports for management review.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional support and service to employees regarding payrollrelated inquiries.
  • Maintain a high level of employee satisfaction through effective issue resolution and communication.


Qualifications:


  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
years of experience in payroll management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Indepth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations in India and the Middle East.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred

Qualifications:


  • Experience with multicountry payroll operations.
  • Certification in payroll management or related fields.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
