About the position :
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to develop and maintain our data infrastructure. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders such as operations, product managers, and business analysts, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch data solutions that foster the advancement and creativity of our products and services.

  • Ownership and oversight of our data backend
  • Proficient documentation abilities and a willingness to share knowledge
  • Eagerness and capability to swiftly prototype ideas, embrace experimentation, and continuous learning
  • Providing regular progress updates to senior management on data engineering modules
  • Constantly assessing and enhancing data infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Supervising and upkeeping the data stack in collaboration with DevOps

What you need to bring :

  • High proficiency in SQL and database management, preferably in Postgres or MySQL
  • Knowledge of OLAP and OLTP database modeling techniques
  • Hands-on experience with big data systems, particularly AWS EMR, although candidates with similar platform expertise and a willingness to learn EMR are welcome
  • Strong AWS skills, with preference given to tech professionals holding AWS certifications
  • Proficiency in AWS services like RDS, EMR, Aurora, Quicksight (or any other Visualization tool), and S3
  • Familiarity with Timeseries databases, preferably Influx-DB
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
