Job Title: Specialist Data Developer

Welcome to our team We are looking for a Specialist Data Developer to join us and take charge of implementing and supporting data warehouses, data marts, and data stores. As a key player in our organization, you will ensure adherence to data standards and models for warehouse architectures.

Responsibilities:
  • Governance
  • Implement governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization.
  • Support processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata; assure metadata accuracy and validity.
  • Support methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
  • Operational Management
  • Support data warehouse improvement and growth projects.
  • Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current data warehouses and leverage solutions.
  • Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve data warehouse access and performance issues.
  • Execute data warehouse configuration and performance tuning.
  • Analyze system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Support change control for modifications to data systems.
  • Ensure production fixes are resolved in a timely manner and following the required IT protocols.
  • Develop documentation related to business process design and maintain it over time.
  • Solution Delivery
  • Create logical models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores.
  • Execute routine process changes and system enhancements with oversight from senior IT resources.
  • Collaborate with business counterparts to assure integration testing includes all necessary business process variations and conduct regression testing of affected areas.
  • Business Partnering
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and act as a bridge between IT and technology.
  • Define how IT services can create value for the business and prioritize technology initiatives for maximum business benefit.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the business, industry, and technological solutions.Essential Functions of the Role:
    • Talk on the phone, text messaging, video calls with suppliers and team members
    • Read technical manuals and stay updated with industry journals
    • Use computer software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio
    • Travel for business needs
    Work Experience Requirements:
    • 5-8 years of overall experience in Information Technology
    • Experience in Azure Data Infrastructure, including Synapse, Data Lake, Storage Accounts, SQL Server, Data Factory & Power BI
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud solutions and SAP data integration
    • Experience in a medical device field is a plus
    Education Requirements:
    • Associate degree in computer science, systems analysis, or related study
    • Azure and Microsoft certifications are advantageous
    Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and creativity in solving architecture challenges
    • Excellent planning and organizational capabilities
    • Experience with Azure cloud technologies and information modeling techniques
    • Understanding of security principles and customer trust establishment
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills in technical and business contexts
