Position Summary:

The Mid-Level IT Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of identity governance and access control systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in identity management solutions, access control policies, and a deep understanding of IT security best practices. This role is crucial in ensuring the right individuals have access to the appropriate resources at the correct times and for valid reasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain identity governance frameworks to ensure user access complies with regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) systems, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
  • Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, Risk and Compliance, and other business units for seamless integration of IAM solutions.
  • Conduct regular audits of user access and permissions for policy adherence.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents concerning unauthorized access.
  • Create and update documentation for identity governance and access management processes and policies.
  • Offer training and assistance to users on IAM procedures and best practices.
  • Keep abreast of emerging security threats, IAM technologies, and industry trends.
  • Work with IT security team members to boost overall security measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, specializing in identity governance and access management.
  • Experience with IGA systems like Sailpoint.
  • Experience working in AWS or other public cloud platforms.
  • Proven experience with IAM tools and platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, Ping Identity.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and NIST.
  • Knowledge of directory services, LDAP, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (Java, PowerShell, Python) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data and systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to engage with various stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred, but not required):

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM)
