Duties

Basic Function of the Position:
The position is located in the Information Management Office (IMO). The incumbent will be required to work at the U.S. Embassy, Chanakyapuri and the American Center, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi, on a rotational basis as per the work requirement.

Under the general supervision of the Print and Graphics Supervisor and Print and Graphics Coordinators' work guidance, the incumbent will execute digital press, binding, and finishing operations in the Print & Graphics section in service to the U.S.

Mission India. Operators will need to ensure the efficient operation of a digital printing press and related binding and finishing equipment. S/he will bind books and other publications or finishes printed products by hand or machine calibrated to customer specifications. S/he will routinely perform maintenance on equipment, review proofs and final products, and monitor supply levels.

The incumbent will be required to interpret work orders and maintain a production schedule in line with the supervisor's objectives.

S/he must have adequate knowledge about the diverse types of printing operations and technical skills to perform customized printing requests.

The incumbent will be required to regularly produce uniformed printed products based on the mission-critical needs of the entire Mission Indian customer base.

The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

Note:

The incumbent will be regularly required to move objects and must be capable of individually handling items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Two years of work experience in a printing publication organization, printing press, or advertising agency.

Education Requirements:

Completion of Senior Secondary School (Class XII).

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE REQUIRED:

Limited knowledge in English (Reading, Writing, and Speaking).

AND
Good working knowledge in Hindi (Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
