We are looking for a D365 Business Central Technical Developer to join an Automotive Group dedicated to designing and creating innovative automotive products for vehicle manufacturers and distributors.

As a D365 Business Central Technical Developer, your role will involve developing, customizing, and supporting D365 Business Central applications on a daily basis.

You will report to the Lead ERP and collaborate closely with diverse teams to comprehend business needs, devise technical solutions, and ensure smooth implementation and integration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Creating and modifying extensions, code units, pages, reports, and other objects using AL language and Visual Studio Code.
  • Implementing and managing integrations with other systems through APIs, web services, and integration tools.
  • Configuring Business Central modules such as finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing to match business processes.
  • Deploying and maintaining Business Central environments, including sandbox, development, testing, and production environments.
  • Documenting technical specifications, solution designs, customization details, and deployment procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of customizations, configurations, and integrations for future reference and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Providing technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and best practices in Dynamics 365 Business Central development.
  • Offering recommendations and implementing process improvements, optimizations, and enhancements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Business Central solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in C/SIDE, AL Language, and C/AL.
  • Experience in the complete lifecycle of feature implementations - design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of ERP and related 3rd party integrations.
  • Documentation of technical implementations, code design, process workflow, and preparation of user manuals.
  • Experience in data migration and conversion support and delivering solutions adhering to best practices in all Business Central modules.
  • Practical knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps for integration with D365 Business Central.
  • Knowledge of best practices for D365 Business Central development and customization.
  • Experience with SOAP, Odata, Web Services (Postman) Oauth 2.0 authentication.
  • Understanding of the base system module Sales, Purchase, WMS, Production BOM, Service management, and integration concepts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications in D365 Business Central development or related areas are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in D365 Business Central (SaaS) ERP technical support of a minimum of 3 years is required.
