Purpose of the Job

EXIM Specialist – SAARC is responsible for the day-to-day EXIM Operations related SAARC Countries. He/She must comply with company & statutory standards. Ensure that all documents are prepared & maintained in accordance with the statutory legal compliance. Responsible for complete follow up from receipt of payment either through LC or TT until safe delivery of shipment to SAARC customer and submission of all statutory documents to Finance.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Import

  • Receipt of import shipment documents and scrutiny
  • Assigning Customs broker for clearance
  • Follow up for immediate clearance of shipment and delivery at desingated warehouse / Free Trade Warehouse Zone
  • Completion of GR/IR Process in SAP
  • Processing forwarder and Customs broker bills for payment
  • MIS regarding stock available at FTWZ / Designated WH
  • Co-ordination for payment to suppliers
  • Preparing cost benefit analysis on periodical basis (FTWZ Vs CZI WH)
  • Periodical stock verification at FTWZ and confirmation
  • Keeping track of customs rules / DGFT Rules / FEMA Rules relating to import and export (Duty paid and FTWZ)

Export

  • Scrutiny of Letter of Credit
  • Scrutiny of Customer Purchase Order
  • Co-ordination with Taxation team (if required) for approvals/permissions to export the cargo
  • Preparation for export Documents as per Letter of Credit / Customer PO (Export Invoice & Packing List)
  • Co-ordinate with FTWZ team for segregation and packing export cargo
  • Co-ordinate with the forwarder for getting quotes and nominating airlines
  • Follow up for Certificate of origin
  • Approval for Airway bill to be prepared as per Letter of credit
  • Approval of shipping bill
  • Preparation of all the required documents as per Letter of credit
  • Providing required information / shipping documents to concerned stake holders (Customer/ Insurance company etc.)
  • Follow up with FTWZ & Forwarder for getting required original documents
  • Documents submission to Bank through Finance
  • Updating the shipment information to all stake holders
  • Follow up till safe delivery of shipment to consignee
  • Co-ordination with customer (if required) for any documentation / clarification
  • processing forwarder bills for payment

Key Requirements

Education

  • Minimum graduation should be completed + Professional course in EXIM+Computers

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years experienced person

Must Haves

  • Should have a sound EXIM knowledge from import to storage to export with perfect tracking.
  • good computer knowledge in SAP MM module, any other ERP system, MS Excel & MS word with good data entry skills.
  • Communication: Need to communicate with SAARC team, employees, managers and other company representatives on daily basis. Also required to communicate with suppliers, customers and other individuals outside of the company. Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and efficiently through email, teams meeting & verbal.
