About this opportunity
We at Ericsson is looking for proactive, multifaceted, and proficient individual for a Chief Architect position in R&D. We are a R&D unit in Ericsson, building world class cloud-native based software for telecom operators. In this role, you will drive end to end technical solution for cloud native product development.

What you will do

  • Drive overall technical governance of the TPG, Creating & driving the TPG vision, System anatomy and TPG product architecture evolution plan.
  • Prepare TPG Backlog with right priority, Release anatomy and Improvement plans.
  • SPOC for SPM, CA-Peer Network, Node Program & Line
  • Has the mandate to take technical decision if there is a disagreement within the TPG.
  • Be accountable for overall product software design throughout the complete life cycle.
  • Analyze and own product backlog from perspective of product architecture.
  • Responsible for product architecture & modelling documents
  • Upto date of Architecture blueprint, Architecture & Interface model in EA tool
  • BUC study Reviews and BUC/BSUC/CR/PBI studies, CR Impact analysis
  • Be responsible for layer2 design/view of product. This shall include Node structure of product, External APIs, Integration with other products.
  • Act as the technical contact of Product Domain and join internal/external software architecture communities/forums. Stay up to date on technology trends of Product Domain and ensure product technology leadership.
  • Driver of Architecture Road map
  • Be responsible for evolution of assigned components and compose recommendations towards System Architect Team on changes on componentlevel architecture, internal/external APIs and usage of 3PPs.
  • Is responsible to provides necessary technical input to 3pp handler (can be delegated to another role)

You will bring

  • 12+ years of experience in software development.
  • Solid understanding of business, product/solution and UX.
  • Solid competence and experience in Generic Product Requirement Non-Functional areas e.g., Cloud, OAM, Networking, Security, Characteristics, Robustness, Automated Acceptance Test
  • Solid relevant working experience of product development, solution/architecture design, and technical marketing/sales.
  • Preference in technical competence such as Cloud Native Application, Micro-Service Architecture.
  • Excellent presentation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with multifunctional teams and stakeholders.
