IoTechWorld Avigation Pvt Ltd is a drone manufacturing company established in 2017, Head Office is located at Gurgaon, Haryana. IoTech Design and develops wide range of DGCA Approved Autonomous drones mainly focusing on Agriculture, Logistics and Defense drones.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be part of leadership team and will be reporting to Director. CTO is a strategic leader and provides direction to the Technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and Drone Technology transformation. They evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to leverage these advancements to enhance operational efficiency and gain a competitive edge.

CTO will be working on advance and cutting-edge technologies to develop Autonomous Aerial Robots (Drones) in a supportive and conducive work culture. This includes overseeing and driving teams for the technical aspects of the organisation, including System Level architecture, R&D for Electronics parts, Design & Development of Hardware parts, Validation, network infrastructure and data security. They diligently develop and maintain the R&D budget, ensuring that the R&D infrastructure meets the company's evolving needs.

As a CTO, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our business goals and supports our growth plans. You will supervise all technical aspects of the company, accelerate digital innovation within the organisation and lead technical staff to ensure that products and services are developed efficiently.

Objectives of CTO role

  • Identifying and evaluating the latest technologies, Competitive analysis, assessing their potential for strategic advantage and business impact.
  • Collaborating closely with executive leadership, business units, and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and drive technology-enabled business initiatives.
  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to the technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Accelerating innovation initiatives to enhance our products, services and processes for optimum efficiency.
  • Managing relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions and services.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology systems, software solutions and infrastructure.

CTO tasks

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy tailored to the company's business objectives, Modularity, Scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Presentation to leadership team while obtaining products approval, Create and manage the technology budget, optimising resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee and drive the R&D (Electronics), D&D (Hardware) design and development, Manufacturing and implementation of robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry's best practices. Develop and implement disaster & risk recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Establish and maintain efficient and reliable technology operations, Modular and Scalable designs process including systems infrastructure.
  • Stay aware of the Competition, latest tech advancements to provide strategic insights and recommendations for maintaining our technological edge.

Required skills and qualifications.

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics and Electrical (EE) Engineering or a related field.
  • 20+ years of overall experience as a technology officer or in a similar senior technology leadership role including 5+ as CTO preferably in the Indian market.
  • Extensive knowledge of product development methodologies, infrastructure management, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Leading the Research, Design and Development Team for various type of Drones and Subsystem & components designs for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
  • Provide technical solutions to complex problems and participate in project architecture and planning activities with excellent knowledge about Basic Electronic Components - MCU, PCB design, I2C, SPI, CAN protocols, etc. Firmware (Embedded C/C++), Software, Hardware designs, Material selection, Manufacturing process, etc.
  • Participating in Leadership team meetings updating the management with MIS and other relevant reports for seeking approvals.
  • Excellent leadership, Softspoken, good behavioural traits, resolving conflicts among cross functional teams and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Review, participate in discussion to resolve technical issues, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making.
