Job Title: AWS Support Engineer

Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AWS Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of their AWS environments. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for AWS-related issues, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of incidents.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist customers with AWS service usage, setup, and optimization, ensuring they get the most out of their AWS investment.
  • Incident Management: Manage and resolve customer-reported issues in a timely and efficient manner, escalating to higher levels of support when necessary.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor customer environments and provide recommendations for optimization, cost management, and performance improvements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of support requests, incidents, and resolutions. Create and update knowledge base articles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including developers, system administrators, and architects, to ensure comprehensive support for AWS environments.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to customers and internal team members on AWS best practices and new services.
  • Proactive Support: Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as an AWS Support Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS architecture.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or other relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
