Providing administration support for SAP Ariba's globally distributed cloud database infrastructureAnalyzing automation, monitoring, and tools gaps in the Database infrastructure and design, build processes and solutions to addressSupport in place cluster upgrades as well as public cloud migration activitiesWriting and maintaining automation pipeline for cluster deployment in public cloud domainWork on security and encryption related activitiesProvide on-call support and weekend maintenances for Ariba's cloud infrastructureLearn and adopt database technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop along with SAP HANA to provide development and operational support

What you bring:
Expert knowledge on SAP HANA/Hana Cloud and/or one or more NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL4+ years of experience in designing highly available, scalable and performance efficient database clustersHands-on experience on GCP, AWS, CloudSQL, terraform, ansible, git and JenkinsUnderstanding of K8S and microservices architectureKnowledge on implementing encryption at rest and encryption in transitExperience working with petabyte scale complex deployments and projectsMotivated and self-driven to learn and adapt to new technologies
