Purpose of the JobThe EDU Manager - AeroX will participate in project/offer development through the application of engineering instructions, guidelines and established internal processes of the AeroX domain.
Perform Standard CFD simulations within the frame of the projects using standard tools (STAR-CCM+, START, etc).Perform Advanced CFD simulations requiring Multi-Physics approach:
Thermal, Fluid-structure interaction, aero-acoustics,etc...Perform R&D activities defined in the CCN road mapManage and mentor the Aero-X engineers those directly report
Performance Measurement/KPI'sQuality of work, On-time Delivery and Costs management, team management
ResponsibilitiesPerform CFD analyses in pre-design phase using standard tools and based on available design conceptsPrepare AeroX Management Plan for project phase, in collaboration with AeroX site expertsPredict Aerodynamic performance (Resistance to Motion, Pressure head pulse, Pressure waves, Crosswind response, etc...) using standard CFD methodologies defined by AeroX CCNPredict Aero-thermal and internal aerodynamics performance (Cooling, Heating, Ventilation, ducts pressure drop, climate control in drivers cabin and passenger compartment,etc...)
Knowledge & Experience :
Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering degree Bsc/Msc, or equivalentAt least 8+ years of experience is projects managing Aero-X scopeTeam management experienceGood knowledge of at least one leading CFD package (STAR-CCM+, CFX, FLUENT, PowerFLOW, etc...)Good knowledge of general fluid mechanics, thermal management, and fluid structure interactionManagement skills to lead R&D actions with a transversal approachGood communication skills, pro-activity, team working, strategic visionEnglish conversational/writing/reading advanced level mandatoryFrench conversational/reading advanced level is preferredMore than 8 of experience in R&D or Railways engineering department with both experimental and numerical skills.
