Job DescriptionThe Senior analyst will oversee the day-to-day international financial reporting tasks, such as preparing statutory financial statements, related notes, and audits.
What you will do in this role:
- Prepare statutory financial statements and related notes following accounting standards (IFRS/Ind-AS/Local country GAAP) and regulatory disclosure requirements.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, detect GAAP adjustments, and address auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors and internal teams to provide necessary information and support the execution of statutory audits.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies, keep updated on regulatory changes, and implement required modifications.
- Capable of meeting strict statutory deadlines, ensuring timely delivery with accuracy, and being adaptable to prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
- Engage in special projects, ad-hoc reporting, analysis requests, and other assigned tasks;
- Constantly assess accounting processes and procedures to identify enhancement opportunities and implement improvements for process efficiency.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Chartered Accountant certification with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar setting, demonstrating a strong track record in financial reporting and/or statutory audits.
- Experience in Big 4 public accounting firms and/or Multinational Corporations (MNC's) is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of India statutory and tax audit, solid familiarity with Companies Act, India IFC/SOX, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in Ind-AS/IFRS with the ability to stay updated on guidance changes.
- Experience in SOX reporting/internal controls preparation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP and Workiva is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Showcase independence, self-motivation, a can-do attitude; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
