We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
AVP - Business Financial Crime Risk(BFCR)

In this role, you will:

The Opportunity:

Impact on the Business / Function

  • Receive and review Surveillance Risk Triggers to a high quality in line with stated procedures and guidance.
  • Perform high quality analysis of the customer data as available in Actionable Intelligence (AI) system alongside triggers.
  • Relationship Managers (RMs) and customer outreach, as appropriate, and as described per the relevant Desk Instruction Manuals (DIMs).
  • Ensure a FCR lens is utilized within all trigger analysis.
  • Where triggers require escalation, collaborate, and refer to line manager and, if necessary, Financial Crime Advisory (2LOD).
  • Execute Trigger reviews and responses in line with procedure.
  • Maintain an indepth understanding of financial crime risk through continuous learning

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Professional and considered contact with customers / RMs referring to triggers and trigger responses.
  • Contribute to cultivating a strict FCC compliance and operational risk culture across GB and CMB, undertaking all actions necessary to mitigate potential risks
  • Provide SME guidance and support to effectively manage FCR, managing escalations to line manager and/or FC (where required).
  • Ensure no material FCR issues missed including risks that may be present in external sources
  • Maintain an indepth understanding of financial crime risk through continuous learning
  • Open working relationship with various working partners coordinating and sharing best practice relating to FCRs

What you'll do:

  • An ability to use data to identify global / regional / local process improvement opportunities, alongside identifying and championing training/development opportunities for colleagues.
  • Be dynamic and positive to embrace increasing changes in internal and external regulatory and financial crime compliance requirements.
  • To proactively safeguard and ensure the highest standard of compliance and FC risk management across CMB and GB franchise, whilst being sufficiently adaptable to take consideration of local business and customer needs.
  • To provide support and constructive advice to CMB and GB colleagues and stakeholders in the management of financial crime compliance and risk.
  • To possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with various internal partners, across the GB and CMB franchise and different departments towards common goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of Financial Crime Compliance, AML, Sanctions, Wholesale Banking (CMB and GB)
  • Experience and knowledge of quality testing, assurance, compliance and audit
  • Possess Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) or International Compliance Association (ICA) certifications
