We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager Finance to join our team in Mumbai.

The General Manager Finance will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, driving performance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

The incumbent will understand the business strategy, the competitive environment, commercial drivers, processes, systems, culture and influence decision making for effective P&L management for the business.

Represent overall finance function for the business with Leadership Team.

Serve as single point of contact for all commercial finance topics between business teams and other Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Provide insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Financial Reporting:
 Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

3.

Cost Management:
 Monitor and control costs across all areas of the business. Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze cost drivers, and implement measures to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.

4.

Cash Flow Management:
 Manage cash flow and liquidity to support business operations and financial stability. Forecast cash flow requirements, monitor cash balances, and implement cash management strategies to optimize working capital.

5.

Financial Controls:
 Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess control effectiveness and mitigate financial risks.

6.

Tax Planning & Compliance:
 Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Develop tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits for the company.

7.

Financial Modeling & Analysis:
 Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluations, and business planning initiatives. Assess the financial impact of proposed projects, initiatives, and acquisitions.

8.

Business Partnering:
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, analysis, and support for key business initiatives and projects. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial matters.

9.

Team Leadership:
 Build and develop a high-performing finance team capable of delivering results and supporting the company's growth objectives. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team CA Qualified

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in finance leadership roles, preferably in retail, consumer goods, or related industries.
  • At least 3 years exp in FP&A.
  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
