About the Role:

In this position, you will oversee the accounts payable function, manage vendor payments, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and reconciliations. The role demands strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to establish and optimize operational processes. The Head of Accounts Payable will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team.
    • Establish performance objectives, monitor progress, and deliver regular feedback.
    • Promote a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Accounts Payable Operations:
    • Supervise the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice handling, payment execution, and vendor relationships.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all invoices.
    • Manage accounts payable transaction reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices.
    • Develop and uphold standard operating procedures for accounts payable.
    • Leverage technology and automation to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Vendor Relations:
    • Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Address vendor inquiries and promptly resolve issues.
    • Negotiate payment terms and agreements with vendors.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Prepare and present reports on accounts payable performance and metrics.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Budget and Financial Management:
    • Assist in creating the accounts payable budget.
    • Monitor and control accounts payable expenses to remain within budget limits.
    • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
  • Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
    • Collaborate with other departments to address accounts payable process issues.
    • Engage in cross-functional projects as necessary.
    Requirements
    • Qualified CA
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounts payable or related fields, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity.
    • Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable procedures, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Precision, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
