BID Manager, Proposal and Bid management

An EXL bid manager in our healthcare division works with the sales and solution leaders, the growth office team, and subject matter experts to effectively manage and develop compelling proposals (RFQ, RFI, RFP) and additional response documents for submission. The EXL Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the bid process from beginning to end by facilitating, coordinating, planning, populating, and fully executing the response.

The right candidate will be creative, dedicated, and flexible to meet aggressive deadlines; have experience interacting with various levels of management; have strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills; be a self-starter; and can work independently and within groups.

Position is fully remote.

What you will do:

Coordinate and support responses for large/complex proposals by partnering with sales and solution leaders in EXL's growth office and various internal groups. Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance the overall quality of submissions Develop bid plan and schedule for all phases of the response development process. Review and understand customer requirements. Manage/track all aspects of content preparation, revision, and submission; collaborate and coordinate inputs from sales, solution leaders, security, legal, and compliance teams; coordinate and communicate with responding partners where required; and coordinate internal content reviews with executive management. Structure, write, edit, and format all types of response content (general, functional, technical), tailoring the content around the prospect requirements, in a creative, compelling, and compliant manner. Participate in the development of written questions to seek clarification from procurement officials throughout the procurement process, and remain current on all amendments and modifications. Populate and manage responses using our content management tool. Conceptualize and write compelling response content using content management library and developing from scratch, as required. Edit SME content and create original responses by synthesizing tactical messaging in a clear and concise manner Conduct regular content reviews with subject matter experts, as needed Ensure all materials are compliant with EXL brand standards Educate the Sales, Solution Leaders and other teams on the RFx process. Tag and manage completed responses in content library

Qualifications:

5+ years of combined experience in proposal writing, creative writing, content development or pursuits; preferably within a professional service firm Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, journalism, marketing/communications, creative writing, or other related degree from an accredited college/university Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment, working with a sense of urgency. Able to manage complex processes, problem solve, adapt to change and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Proven experience in proposal and bid management Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as narrative storytelling is preferred; APA style guide knowledge preferred Confident working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, corporate environment, dealing with executive-level decision-makers and critical business issues Adept at building relationships and work cross-functionally with a diverse set of business partners. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Responsive or CMS system, Seismic
