We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President – Data Governance GSC.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead delivery of DUSE control implementation, including current and future initiatives, for Group Data Execution Program (GDEP). This includes supporting operating model changes to achieve the programme objectives. Lead and manage delivery PoDs and internal/ external staff supporting DUSE implementation. Drive business and data architecture conversations to close process gaps through business and technology improvement Define requirements and propose optimization to Group meta-model Deliver conceptual and logical data model solution using HSBC's Metadata methodology Drive 'Process Clearing House' and 'Design Change pipeline' forums with SLOD, CCO, Head of Data-GBsGFs and Head of DAO-Markets Identify gaps in procedures, propose changes and syndicate with Risk Stewards and CCO to unblock challenges for DUSE implementation Own and drive closure of assigned MSIIs and MAPs. Establish data driven metrics to measure business value and define success criteria for the team Generate weekly and monthly reports for COOs and CDAO Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

10+ yearsofrelevant experience in delivering end-to-end Data Governance implementation projects for Regulatory initiatives like BCBS 239 and IRR. Bachelor's orMaster's degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline and concentration in computer science, information systems or other engineering specializations. Hands on experience of creating Conceptual/Logical Data Models as per DCAM/ DAMA framework Should have experience in managing cross functional teams across regions. Should have worked with Second LoD and CCOs to define, draft and implement control design procedures Understanding of Graph Database / Knowledge Graph is desirable. Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude. Ability to comprehend intricate and diverse range of business problems and analyse them with limited or complex data and provide a feasible solution framework. Experience on working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities. DAMA certified professionals preferred

Functional requirements

Knowledge and understanding of data risk, policy and procedures, financial-services/ banking-operations of a Global Bank. Understanding of accounting principles, data flows and regulatory landscape – BCBS239, B3R, IRR PRA etc. Familiarity of implementing data management with one of the following frameworks – DAMA / DCAM
