Desktop Support Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to endusers by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networkrelated issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and assist in resolving networkrelated issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Assist in the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Support software installations, upgrades, and patches.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including user guides and knowledge base articles.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or a recent pass out with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP), and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users.
  • Proactive and selfmotivated attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes.
  • Previous experience in a technical support role or internship is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA) are desirable but not required.

As an intern, you will receive guidance and mentoring from experienced IT professionals.
