Platform Architect

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • The Platform Architect of Digital Solutions for Controlling provides guidance in the architecture design, platform steering and the product provisioning of products for the financial controlling function.
  • The Platform Architect within the platform is responsible to translate strategic business and IT influences into architecture guiding principles for the product architecture in the portfolio
  • Taking ownership for the platform architecture from idea to delivery of effective product delivery. Consequently, the Platform Architect supports the Product platform lead and consults the Product architects to create value by technology innovation, product and platform architecture design
  • The Platform Architect provides technical insights and advices and uses partners like technology leaders to ensure that created artifacts meet business goals as well as EA strategic goals.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Platform and Product Research on industry, peer and competitor benchmarking for market best practices and emerging trends for the Controlling, Reporting and Planning Portfolio
  • Responsible for a modern, modular and effective architecture, that provides value to the function.
  • Join Forces with product architects, data architects, product management and digital leads to consult, analyze, develop and document user stories for businessled technology initiatives in the platform and product portfolio
  • Liaises with design and engineering teams to communicate business priorities and transform user stories to unified technology changes in line with the data models
  • Participate in solution demos and inspect and adapt agile event to confirm solutions are aligned with user stories
  • Advocate agile teams recommendation on user stories towards product management and a human centered design around products
  • Lead, review, evaluate business processes to outline challenges, anticipate user stories, uncover areas of improvement to identify opportunities and fit for purpose solutions
  • Assess market trends and underlying technologies to drive and optimize business value

WHO YOUR ARE:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Expert in uptodate and emerging technologies in at least one of the areas: Financial Reporting, Financial Planning
  • Good understanding of serviceoriented architecture, webservices and APIs
  • Good business knowledge of Controlling processes with focus on Reporting and Planning
  • Good knowledge of data warehouse architecture and at least 5 years experience on developing data warehouse solutions
  • Technology stack: SAP BI on Hana, S/4 Hana, Analysis for Office, data bricks, Snowflake, Anaplan, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Profound knowledge and experience in agile and lean methodologies as well as EA Frameworks
  • Project Management experience in interdisciplinary ITprojects
  • Strong business acumen in combination with excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience in engaging and convincing senior executives
  • Ability to convince teams to regularly test out new processes and methods
  • Wide Experience in orchestrating programs across different functional organizations and allocating resources to ensure continual engagement
  • Proven ability to grow relationships with key partners and suppliers
  • Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization's digital business strategies
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work successfully with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds
