About role:
To maintain ground-breaking propositions for Magnum and support the next wave of innovations, we are looking for an Engineering Manager Core– Product Engineering who passionate about software architecture and is driven to pursue excellence in delivering premier InsurTech solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Experience of managing of complex technical projects as part of an Agile set-up
• Would lead the development of features and capabilities with highest level of quality, reliability, efficiency and scalability.
• Work in a well-established SaaS product engineering environment and collaborating closely with other stakeholders such as Product Owners, Architects , Solutions Architects and engineering teams involving developers and QA experts
Your Qualifications
- Overall 10-13 years of experience including 3+ years in the management of complex technical projects and 8+ years of development experience as part of an Agile team.
- Having experience as a Technical Project Manager or Scrum Master would be an advantage .
- Primary skills include Java, Spring Boot , SCRUM , Safe Agile , Automation testing , SaaS Multi-Tenant, Hibernate , Junit, REST API's Swagger, JIRA , Confluence
- Good to have any cloud vendor experience including Azure, AWS and GCP. Preferably it would be Azure cloud.
- You have a strong technical background with a career journey which encompasses Software Development or Testing and eventually transitioning into a Tech Project manager role
- You are an authority in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe and have experience in redefining a team from a waterfall approach to an Agile product development way of working
- Capability to understand and speak software engineers' language and understand the wider context of their work
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to influence behaviour among your peers and the development teams
- Personal demeanour that is in sync with the following values: proactivity, ownership and continuous improvement.
- PMP certification, SAFe certification and/or Scrum Master Certification is strongly preferred
- Good to have Azure Cloud is a good to have skill . Microsoft Certified: Azure – Fundamentals Exam AZ-900 and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer – Associate Exam AZ-204
