We are seeking a dynamic Engineer to join our ITSM Data Platform team. In this position, you will collaborate closely with senior data engineers and stakeholders to build, maintain, and enhance our data infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to expand their expertise in data engineering and play a vital role in shaping our data-informed decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
- Support the integration of diverse data sources into our data warehouse.
- Participate in creating and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing and overseeing data validation procedures.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and team members to address data requirements and provide data solutions.
- Contribute to documenting data engineering workflows and protocols.
- Learn and implement best practices in data engineering while staying current with industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Good grasp of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Data Modelling.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong aptitude for teamwork.
- Keen interest in acquiring new skills and advancing in the data engineering sector.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
