Responsibilities


The Design for Operation is responsible for train level co development fulfilling project QCD objectives and final assembly industrial performance.

Functionally reporting to the chief development, he will ensure structured integration between product engineering (at both train and Subsystem-level) and manufacturing engineering to deliver a consistent product x process definition

With relevant train level technical stakeholders (Subsystem managers, Train Architecture, manufacturing engineering):
Define and ensure implementation of applicable
industrial requirements (DME,
T&C, SC and Maintenance)
& standards (e.g. PRIDS, SML/SMP)

Contribute to definition and implementation of project
industrial objectives (e.g. Method time)

Contribute to detailed implementation of project Make or Buy strategy (e.g. primary parts)

Organize and coordinate
co-engineering activities (e.g. BoM, zone/mountings analysis & optimization ) until CGR

Supports and contribute to mounting reviews (FMR, SMR) and associated product x process evolutions until GSR

Supports and contribute to detailed industrialization (e.g. work instructions, control plans) until GSR

Define
macro industrial process (LGR to PGR): layout, workstations, resources & skills, jigs and tools, logistic flows

Supports detailed industrial process definition (PGR to GSR)

Facilitate dialogue between functions and stakeholders for industrialization topics

With chief development and project management stakeholders:
Implement allocated project requirements and objectives

Reports on status, risks, opportunities and issues

With sites and métiers (e.g.

engineering, manufacturing):
interact with sites and métiers to secure project delivery (e.g. resources, expertises)

Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong leadership; resultdriven mindset
  • Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders (product engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial functions )
  • Ability for negotiation, problemsolving and efficient decisionmaking in complex environment
  • Ability to work across sites/functions in a multicultural environment
  • Team spirit approach and good communication skills
  • English fluent

Educational Requirements:

  • Engineering or master's degree level education, preferably in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical or supply chain disciplines.

Experience:

  • Around 10 years of experience in industrial operations including experiences at project level.
  • Extensive knowledge of concurrent engineering approaches + strong technical background encompassing both manufacturing and product development/management
