Senior Manager, Event Marketing- Seller Acquisition

An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Essential FunctionsAn individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Defines event marketing strategies based upon a clear understanding of market opportunities .Collaborates with team members to define client segments and targeting for event marketing strategies.
Develops and coordinates the execution of event marketing strategies in-person, virtually, and across various channels.Manages event tactics as part of integrated, omni-channel campaigns that bring new leads to the event marketing pipeline.
Evaluates events and recommends levels of investment and participation (for example, team attendance, sponsorship, speaking, exhibiting) at strategic industry events.
Oversees on-the-ground event management, traveling to event sites at needed.Reforms Walmart's marketing tech stack to optimize event return-on-investment tracking.
Partners with other Walmart business units for mutually beneficial event opportunities.
Defines and delivers on key performance indicators and forecasts for event marketing.
Communicates learned best practices to the wider Walmart Marketing organization to fuel marketing efficiency throughout the organization.
Coaches and mentors other team members.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating businessplans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuringprogress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Entry RequirementsMinimum QualificationsOption 1:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related area and 2 years' experience in marketing or related area.
Option 2: 4 years' experience in marketing or related area.
Prior work experience using Salesforce or other Martech/CRM solutions.
Prior work experience with business development teams and event marketing.
Prior work experience in vendor management.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related area.
Prior work experience developing and managing event marketing growth strategies in a business-to-business setting.
Prior work experience in retail or eCommerce
