About This Team
Our team is responsible for overseeing Technology Monitoring throughout the Enterprise. We handle tasks such as onboarding, training, and managing services. Collaborating with vendors like Splunk and Datadog, we ensure observability for a large Technology department. Our goal is to enhance the maturity of our Technology teams by defining and monitoring best practices for our platforms.

We are seeking a motivated engineer to join our Observability Team, playing a key role in driving organizational improvements and contributing to the development of our strategic roadmap and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support application teams transitioning to Datadog, utilizing APM Infra and Serverless agents while ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance documentation standards and practices.
  • Resolve issues by working closely with internal teams and vendor TAMs to empower end users.

Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Datadog APM Infra, serverless, and RUM (Real User Metrics).
  • Experience in migrating application servers to Observability solution agents or implementing mass updates using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in implementing and configuring an Observability solution in Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK Stack, Open Telemetry, and tools including CloudWatch, AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Understanding of complex time series concepts and high availability backend systems and services.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership in planning, executing, and delivering product results successfully in a collaborative setting.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, Test Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD is a plus.
  • Ability to think innovatively and contribute to product success and customer experience.
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of PII / CCPA / GDPR rules, Enterprise Single Sign-On, Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian Suite tools, Cloud Solutions, Terraform, or Ansible.

Qualifications
College degree in computer science/engineering or related field. Minimum 4 years of experience with Observability solutions. Minimum 2 years of experience in rule and advanced logic creation within Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or another Observability tool. Proven track record of delivering quality results on complex cross-functional projects.
