Job Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities in this Role:

  • Advocate for customer needs throughout the product and design lifecycle, spanning from initial discovery to design validation and eventual customer adoption across a range of products
  • Utilize and customize appropriate research methods and techniques to suit specific project requirements
  • Interact with customers to gain insights into their unique product needs, including the identification and consolidation of user personas, use cases, and opportunities for enhancing user experience
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to shape product strategies and timelines
  • Validate feature and design decisions through participatory design, early concept testing, and various forms of usability testing
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative studies and quantitative data from multiple sources to derive strategic insights and actionable recommendations
  • Effectively communicate research findings through various mediums such as user segments, persona frameworks, user journeys, and task analyses
Qualifications

Your Profile

Essential Requirements:

  • Holder of a BA/BS degree or above in fields like Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven track record in applying customer-centric research methodologies to shape product definitions and designs
  • Familiarity with planning and executing research studies, including setting objectives, defining goals, and adhering to timelines. This involves crafting sample plans and selecting the most appropriate data collection methods, be it quantitative or qualitative
  • A portfolio showcasing impactful research outcomes or experiences. This should include examples of research objectives, methodologies employed, the overall process, your contributions, data visualizations, and clear insights drawn from the research

Desired Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience conducting customer-focused research. A Master's degree or PhD would be a bonus
  • Ability to form insightful, relevant questions that resonate with both technically adept individuals and business-oriented end-users utilizing enterprise software
  • Deep understanding of user interface design, usability evaluation methods, task analysis, and experimental design
  • Exposure to creating and executing online surveys, as well as employing various qualitative research techniques
  • Strong presentation skills for simplifying complex technical concepts and making them easily digestible for customers, as well as product management and design stakeholders
  • Aptitude for quickly grasping new technical concepts
