About the Role:
Join us as a Seasoned DevOps Lead, where you'll take charge of designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in OpenShift environments. Your role involves close collaboration with development, operations, and platform teams to streamline software delivery workflows. If you bring solid expertise in Jenkins automation, Kubernetes orchestration, and hands-on experience with OpenShift and AWS services, along with a firm grasp of DevOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins within OpenShift environments.
- Configure and oversee Jenkins agents, plugins, and pipelines for application build, test, and deployment processes.
- Automate software delivery workflows, working closely with development teams to enhance release cycles.
- Manage containerized applications through deployment, scaling, and maintenance using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) techniques with tools like Helm and Ansible.
- Tackle build failures, deployment errors, and Kubernetes/OpenShift resource issues.
- Ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of CI/CD infrastructure on OpenShift.
- Integrate automated testing and monitoring solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters in terms of performance and efficiency with the platform team.
- Offer technical guidance on best practices in Jenkins, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to team members.
- Configure and manage AWS services for effective CI/CD workflows.
- Maintain the reliability, scalability, and security of CI/CD infrastructure in AWS.
- Troubleshoot build and deployment issues, as well as AWS resource management problems.
- Implement infrastructure as code practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation on AWS.
- Incorporate automated testing and quality assurance procedures into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and security compliance in AWS environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Jenkins and Kubernetes Specialist, with a preference for OpenShift experience.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and managing Jenkins pipelines and plugins.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes concepts and architecture.
- Experience in deploying and managing applications on OpenShift clusters.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Groovy.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools including Helm and Ansible.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies and microservices architecture.
- Solid grasp of AWS services and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
